![]() My name is Chris Ringeisen, I'm currently the only author of and located in St. mC įrom cool gadgets and concepts to stock images, tutorials and software you'll discover something new here. If you’re looking for my Start Orb skin follow this blog and look in the near future for its release. Iconspedia (for dock and shortcut icons). WinCustomize (Stardock themes and other customization applications like Tweak and Windows Blinds) - ĭeviant Art (anything from icons to skins, they have it). Speed Fan (necessarily for temp resource meter/requires plugin). Vark Shortcut Mod (for links to control panel etc…). Objectdock and Fences are part of the Stardock Objectdesktop customization suite. ![]() Did you know the first picture also has these shorcuts? With Fences a simply double-click on the desktop will hide them all minus any shortcuts you’ve tagged to stay.Įverything found in my rig can e found at the following sites. One process that is lost through this overhaul is access to your system tray - however it is possible to create your own skins or links to the programs found there. Another Stardock application, Fences, is shown below with the rest of the desktop.įences allows easy organization of your desktop shortcuts with customizable titles colors, and transiencies. Windows only allows you to auto-hide the taskbar, Objectdock will completely take it away and has the option to display open windows as either an icon like the one far right or by using a screenshot like Windows aero-peek. One problem i did find with these types of overhauls was that I lose certain pieces of Windows like the task bar and system tray which is very important to me. Some cool features Rainmeter has is a skin that connects with iTunes, a Gmail notifier, live Twitter feed and an ATOM feed plus 3 separate RSS feeds. With simple editing you can change font and color as well as other settings. There are many full themes available and stand-alone skins to download. Below is the standard Enigma Theme which comes with the application as well as other ‘skins’ developers created and distributed on the web. ini files to feed live information from your computer such as CPU temperature, RAM usage, CPU usage, network strength, clocks and much more to your desktop. Rainmeter is similar to another popular customization app Samurize. Only those on Rainmeter have a larger scope of applications and are much better devloped than the third party widgets found elsewhere. Rainmeter is a customizable recource tool, similar to widgets found on the Vista Side Bar or Google Desktop.
